How can I book an appointment?
The fastest way to book an appointment is to call the office at 604-261-2611. Alternatively, you can request an appointment here. Please note that online appointment submissions are only requests – they are not a confirmation of your appointment. Once you fill out the appointment request form, please expect an email response or phone call within the next business day.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please call the office at 604-261-2611 to cancel or reschedule your appointment, or email [email protected] with your name and appointment time. Please note that any email cancellations are not confirmed until you receive a response.
Is podiatry covered under MSP?
No, podiatry is not covered under MSP. However, if you are on Premium Assistance, the Medical Services Plan of BC provides partial subsidies for podiatry care.
Do you do direct billing to insurance providers?
At the moment, our office only directly bills Pacific Blue Cross (this does NOT include Medavie Blue Cross or Ontario Blue Cross). If you are not insured by Pacific Blue Cross, we will give you a receipt with all the information you need to expedite reimbursement.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, cheque, debit, VISA, Mastercard, and American Express. We also accept payments over the phone.
Do I need a referral to see the podiatrist?
No, you do not need a referral from a doctor to see Dr. Dedhar
How much will the initial appointment cost?*
The initial appointment will cost between $135 to $165 and up depending on the services you
require. If you require an ingrown toenail removal procedure, the cost is between $160 to over
$345 depending on the severity of the ingrown toenail. If you require custom orthotics, the
casting appointment will cost $175, and the orthotics will cost $500. Please speak to your
insurance provider to see if they cover podiatric care.
Is the initial appointment only a consultation? Do I have to book another appointment afterwards to receive treatment?
No, the initial appointment includes both a comprehensive consultation and any treatment that can be done in office, including ingrown toenail removal. It is very rare for our office to book a separate appointment for treatment.
If I am already a patient of Dr. Dedhar’s, how much will an appointment cost?*
Subsequent or follow-up appointments cost $72. Existing patients will still need to pay the full price for orthotics or ingrown toenail removal.
How much do custom orthotics cost?*
Custom orthotics cost $175 for the casting appointment, $500 for the orthotics – total $675.
Pediatric orthotics cost $150 for the casting appointment, $475 for the orthotics – total $625
Can I reuse an existing cast for a new pair of orthotics?
Yes, we can order a new pair of orthotics using an existing cast – but only if the casting was done within the past 3 years. A new pair of orthotics made from previous casts costs $425.
